These backdrops were all painted using acrylic paints for school plays. Most were painted on site and took about 4-5 days. Each time as I looked at the size of the blank white sheeting I thought that I'd never be able to do them, but little by little they came together and I had lots of interesting conversations with primary aged children who went about their daily routines as I worked in their school hall.

Backdrop for Alice in Wonderland; the blank sheeting looked quite daunting at the start.

Backdrop for King Midas

This nativity backdrop was painted on a double sheet for a specific school play a long time ago. Parts of the backdrop were copied from pictures in a book so are not entirely my own design. It has been used at least once every year for the last 15 years in various schools and churches. It has lasted well and copes with being folded up in a cupboard for most of every year.
